“Can I ask you a question, love?” she asked hesitantly.
“Mhmm.”
“Why don’t you want to talk to him? I mean, why not give him a second chance? It seems like he’s trying to make an effort, and…”
“What, so you’re taking his side now? That’s just fucking great!” I screeched in frustration. Where was this bullshit coming from? One minute she’s telling me she’s sorry for my loss, and the next she’s taking his side?
“You know, Bella, I would appreciate a little support. I mean, I have stood by you, even when you haven’t really given me anything to go on about your life in Phoenix, and here you have the gall to actually question me about why I don’t want to reconnect with Carlisle in some kumbaya fantasy bullshit? What the fuck?”
I heard her sharp intake of breath and knew I was overreacting. I knew that I was taking out my frustrations on her and that it was completely wrong to do so, but once the flood gates opened, I couldn’t make it all stop.
I pressed on.

Poor Bella. With her history, I can't imagine she'll react well to Edward's yelling at her. Hopefully he realizes in time.
